Botanic Gardens guides tour Fernberg
-
The Fernberg Estate has hosted a group of Brisbane Botanic Gardens guides and welcomers for a special tour. These dedicated volunteers are no strangers to Brisbane's unique plant life and rich botanic history, educating visitors at our magnificent public parks and gardens year-round.Along the way, they glimpsed the resident and transient native birds and animals that call the Estate home. The Governor took time out from her busy schedule to greet them and discuss her favourite parts of the Estate and Government House, which has been the working residence of Governors since 1910.This special opportunity highlighted the important role our Botanic Garden volunteers play in connecting Brisbanites with nature and our city's story, of which Fernberg is a part!
