Celebrating cultures on Commonwealth Day

The Governor and Professor Nimmo accepted an invitation from the Victoria League Brisbane for Commonwealth Friendship to attend the 2023 Commonwealth Day Multicultural event at the magnificent St John's Cathedral in the heart of Brisbane.

There they watched stunning performances by Viva La Musica Voices Children's Choir, Morayfield Cultural Dance Group (from Morayfield State High School), St James College African Cultural Dance Group, St Peters Lutheran College Indian Dance, among others.

Her Excellency read His Majesty The King’s Commonwealth Day Message to those assembled and greatly enjoyed the performances and moving messages from others encouraging peace and unity among our many Commonwealth nations and cultures.
