Far North Queensland Investiture Ceremony, 12 May 2023

The Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM has presented 18 Far North Queenslanders with Australian Honours and Awards at an Investiture Ceremony held in Cairns.

For significant service to geriatric medicine, and to professional organisations.

 

AWARDED THE CONSPICUOUS SERVICE CROSS

For outstanding achievement as the Royal Australian Navy Maritime Surveillance Adviser to Tonga.

 

AWARDED THE PUBLIC SERVICE MEDAL

For outstanding public service to Queensland remote and regional communities.

 

AWARDED THE AUSTRALIAN POLICE MEDAL

Senior Sergeant John William McArthur APM

For outstanding and inspirational leadership in regional and remote Far North Queensland areas of the Queensland Police Service.

 

Senior Sergeant Gary Robert Hunter APM

For outstanding and inspirational leadership in Central and Far North Queensland areas of the Queensland Police Service.
