Far North Queensland Investiture Ceremony, 13 September 2024

Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM presented five Far North Queenslanders with Australian Honours and Awards at an Investiture Ceremony in Cairns on Friday 13 September at 9am.

AWARDED THE MEDAL OF THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA (OAM)

For service to youth through Girl Guides.

For service to business, and to the community of Cairns.

AWARDED THE AUSTRALIAN CORRECTIONS MEDAL (ACM)
Mr John Rosset ACM

For distinguished service to Queensland Corrective Services.

AWARDED THE COMMENDATION FOR BRAVE CONDUCT
Mr Dylan John Lazzaroni

Commended for brave conduct for his actions rescuing a person who had fallen from a waterfall in Mareeba, Queensland on 6 March 2021.
