Far North Queensland Investiture Ceremony, Cairns, 8 September 2023
The Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM has presented eight Far Queenslanders with Australian Honours and Awards at an Investiture Ceremony in Cairns on Friday 8 September at 9.00am AEST.

APPOINTED A MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA IN THE GENERAL DIVISION
Councillor Angela Toppin AM
For significant service to local government, and to secondary education.
AWARDED THE AUSTRALIAN POLICE MEDAL (APM)
Superintendent Rhys Newton APM
For distinguished service to the Queensland Police Service shown through significant career achievements, upholding the values of policing, and displaying continued dedication to their role.
Senior Sergeant Jamie Ray Horn APM
For distinguished service to the Queensland Police Service shown through significant career achievements, upholding the values of policing, and displaying continued dedication to their role.
Sergeant David William Raymond BM APM
For distinguished service to the Queensland Police Service shown through significant career achievements, upholding the values of policing, and displaying continued dedication to their role.
