Governor attends Commonwealth Day multi-faith service

Students from numerous Queensland schools took part in the special service.
To help celebrate Commonwealth Day, the Governor attended a multi-faith service at St John’s Cathedral in Brisbane hosted by The Victoria League Brisbane for Commonwealth Friendship, of which she is Patron.
Her Excellency read a Message from His Majesty King Charles III at the annual service, which celebrates the diverse cultures and people of the Commonwealth nations.
In his message, The King called on the Commonwealth family of free and independent nations to continue to work together to build resilience and respond to global challenges.
A series of events and activities is planned across some 56 independent countries this week to mark the 75th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth.
