Governor grants Assent to Amendment Bill

Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM, Governor of Queensland, today received Mr Neil Laurie, Clerk of the Parliament, for the presentation of the following Bill to which Royal Assent was granted:

Police Legislation (Efficiencies and Effectiveness) Amendment Bill 2022 - A bill for an Act to amend the Oaths Act 1867, the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000, the Police Service Administration Act 1990, the Police Service Administration Regulation 2016 and the Weapons Act 1990, and to make a regulation under the Oaths Act 1867, for particular purposes

The granting of Royal Assent is an integral step in the legislative process.
