Governor grants Assent to two Bills

On Wednesday 9 April, Her Excellency received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of two Bills for Royal Assent. 

The following Bills were today granted Assent:

Youth Justice (Monitoring Devices) Amendment Bill 2025

A bill for an Act to amend the Youth Justice Act 1992 for a particular purpose

Health Practitioner Regulation National Law and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2025

A bill for an Act to amend the Health Ombudsman Act 2013 and the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009 for particular purposes

The granting of Royal Assent is an integral step in the legislative process.
