Governor presides over swearing-in ceremonies for Queensland Premier, Deputy Premier, and Ministers
The Governor, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM has presided over the swearing-in of Premier of Queensland, the Honourable Steven Miles MP and Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment, and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, the Honourable Cameron Dick MP.
The swearing-in ceremony took place in the Investiture Room at Government House on 15 December 2023.
Upon today's official swearing-in, the Honourable Steven Miles MP became the 40th Premier of Queensland.
On 18 December, the Governor presided over a swearing-in ceremony for the Miles Ministry, followed by a special meeting of the Executive Council and the presentation of Assistant Ministers.
On 21 December, Her Excellency presided over the swearing-in of Mr Michael Healy MP as Minister for Tourism and Sport within the Miles Ministry, followed by a special meeting of Executive Council.
