Governor visits Logan in wake of Cyclone Alfred

At the Local Disaster Coordination Centre, Her Excellency received a briefing on the 24-hour response operation and thanked emergency service personnel and Council workers who continue their tireless efforts despite fatigue. She commended all involved for their resilience and dedication in supporting those most affected.

She then visited the Beenleigh Community Recovery Hub, where a steady stream of locals has sought assistance with grants and insurance claims.

Mayor of Logan, Councillor Jon Raven, highlighted the community’s generosity throughout the disaster and the current focus on waste removal.
