Platinum Jubilee Open Day
The gates of historic Government House will once again open to the public for a special Open Day on 13 March 2022, to commemorate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Members of the public can tour parts of Government House, and enjoy the picturesque, heritage listed gardens of the Fernberg estate.
Built in 1865, Government House has been the official residence of Queensland Governors since 1910.
Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM, Governor of Queensland and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD are the 17th vice-regal couple to have resided at the estate.
Entry is via the estate gates at 168 Fernberg Road, Paddington. (Pedestrian access only, there is no onsite parking). Staff can assist with drop-offs for people with a disability.
Parking is available on the streets surrounding the estate (off Fernberg Road, Paddington).
Each year tens of thousands of people visit Fernberg including on Open Days, on guided school and tour groups, and for the Christmas Lights display.
