Governor unveils St John House in Brisbane
The Governor has unveiled St John House, in the Brisbane suburb of Nundah, as the new headquarters of St John Ambulance Queensland.
Her Excellency, who is Deputy Prior and Dame of Grace of the Order of St John, remarked that St John Ambulance had made significant contributions to Queensland and deserved a place to finally "hang its hat", after several years of operating its many services from several locations across Brisbane.
St John Ambulance Queensland provides healthcare services at public events, along with first-aid training, and is well known for its various charitable and humanitarian endeavours throughout the State.
Her Excellency remarked that centralising operations under one roof was not just a relocation but a commitment to strengthening St John Ambulance's ability to serve the community with even greater impact.
She thanked to many volunteers, committed staff, and generous supporters who continued to bring compassion, care, and community support to countless Queenslanders in their time of need.
