Stepping Out from Fernberg, a new collection of writings by Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD, spouse of the Governor, is now available online.
Inspired by his childhood in Brisbane’s inner-west and many walks taken during his time at Government House, Professor Nimmo’s reflections take readers on a series of thoughtfully mapped walks through the historical, cultural and natural landscape surrounding the Fernberg Estate.
The publication invites Queenslanders to explore their own neighbourhoods more deeply—connecting with the stories beneath the surface of familiar streets and encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle.
As Professor Nimmo noted at the launch, Stepping Out from Fernberg complements Her Excellency’s pledge—made during her swearing-in—to promote a healthier Queensland.
