Vice-Regal couple attend Remembrance Day Ceremony
The Governor and Professor Nimmo have attended the RSL Queensland 2024 Remembrance Day Ceremony in Anzac Square.
Every year at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, millions around the world pause in silence to mark the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting in World War I.
In a special ceremony at Government House, the Australian flag was be lowered to half-mast at 10:30am and remained there until 11:02am, with two minutes silence observed at 11am.
In the evening, the House was lit up in red.
