Vice-Regal couple visit cyclone-hit Redland Coast

The Vice-Regal couple met with emergency service personnel, Council and SES workers.
The Governor and Professor Nimmo have visited the Redlands Coast on Brisbane’s bayside to meet with those at the heart of the community’s disaster response and recovery efforts following Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Following a briefing with Redland City Council, the Vice-Regal couple met with emergency service personnel, Council and SES workers to hear firsthand about the vital roles they continue to perform as part of the local recovery operation.
They also visited a community recovery hub and toured some of the region’s hardest hit areas, offering their support and thanks to all who continue to serve and support the Redlands community during this challenging time.
Her Excellency will today visit impacted areas in Logan and on the Gold Coast.
