On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received the High Commissioner of New Zealand to Australia, His Excellency

Mr Andrew Needs and Consul-General of New Zealand to Queensland and New South Wales, Mr James Munro.

Following, members of the South Bank Tafe visited Government House for a guided tour of the House and gardens. 

In the afternoon, at Government House, students from Proserpine State School visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens. 

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a Reception for the Winners of the 2024 Roly Sussex Short Story Competition and the 2024 Secondary Schools Public Speaking Competition. The Governor presented awards and addressed guests.
