On Sunday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD returned to Queensland, and Her Excellency resumed duty as Governor of Queensland.

Following, at the Memorial Garden, RAAF Base, Amberley, Her Excellency was represented by Flight Lieutenant Tim Daelman at the Australian Flying Corps and Royal Australian Air Force Association Queensland Division Bomber Command Commemorative Service for 2024, and Flight Lieutenant Daelman laid the first wreath.

In the evening, at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency attended a Reception in celebration of the 78th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Italian Republic, and the Governor addressed guests.
