On Friday, in the morning, at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Woodend, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the State Funeral for the Honourable William (Bill) Hayden AC.  

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a reception in support of The Boys' Brigade and The Girls' Brigade Queensland's Queen's Badges Awards 2023, and the Governor addressed guests.
