In the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an Official Visit to Townsville.

In the afternoon, at the Chambers of the Townsville City Council (TCC), the Governor met the Mayor of Townsville Cr. Jenny Hill, TCC Councillors and staff.

In the evening, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey, at the Townsville Civic Theatre, attended the James Cook University Opening Night Concert ‘Serenade’, Australian Festival of Chamber Music (AFCM).
