In the afternoon, Councillor Wayne Butcher, Mayor, Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council; Councillor Peter Scott, Mayor, Cook Shire Council, and Mrs Sayah Scott; Councillor Dereck Walpo, Mayor, Aurukun Shire Council and Councillor Ada Woolla OAM; Mr David Glasgow AM, Commissioner, Family Responsibilities Commission, and Mrs Gabrielle Glasgow; Mr Allen Cunneen OAM, Deputy Director-General, Infrastructure and Coordination, Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships; Mr Tim Cronin, Chief Executive Officer, Cook Shire Council, and Mrs Tracey Cronin; Ms Denise Hagan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Puuya Foundation; Mr Stephen Linnane, Chief Executive Officer, Hope Vale Aboriginal Shire Council, and Mrs Joanne Linnane; and Ms Veronica Piva, Director, Puuya Foundation, arrived at Government House as overnight guests.
In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in support of the Cape York region, at which the overnight guests attended, along with the Honourable Mark Furner MP, Minister for Local Government and Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships; Ms Clare O'Connor, Director-General, Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships; Mr Jonathan Fisher, Chief Executive Officer, National Trust of Australia (Queensland), and Ms Sarah Chalkley; and Ms Cecily Pearson OAM and Mr Trevor Farrell OAM.
