On Tuesday, in the morning, at the Kedron Park Emergency Services Complex, Kedron, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC visited the State Operations Centre and received a briefing from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services on the current bushfire situation.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a luncheon in support of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Professor Carolyn Evans; Mr Tim Fairfax AC and Mrs Gina Fairfax; Mr Trevor St Baker AO; Mr John Story AO and Mrs Georgina Story; Mr Chris Freeman AM and Mrs Sue Freeman; Mr Craig Whitehead; Ms Toni Palmer; Air Commodore Mark Gower AM LVO OAM(Mil); and Ms Amelia Long.

In the evening, at Customs House, Brisbane, His Excellency attended the University of Queensland Senate End of Year Dinner, and addressed guests.
