On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of the Queensland Justices Association (Hornibrook Branch) visiting for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a formal dinner for outstanding Queensland contributors. Guests included: the Honourable Justice Susan Brown & Ms Lisa Worner; the Honourable Justice John Dowsett AM; Mr Ben Roberts-Smith VC, MG & Mrs Emma Roberts-Smith; Dr Sallyanne Atkinson AO; Mr Allan Border AO & Mrs Jane Border; Emeritus Professor Dr Mary Mahoney AO & Dr Patrick Mahoney; Mr Michael Hall & Ms Daria Krstic; Mr Mark Sowerby & Mrs Heidi Sowerby; Reverend Father Dimitri Tsakas & Presvytera Michelle Tsakas; Mr Denis Wagner & Mrs Liz Wagner; and Ms Cecily Pearson OAM & Mr Trevor Farrell OAM.

Earlier, in the morning, at 1 William Street, Brisbane, the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes, Acting Governor of Queensland, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council of Queensland.
