On Thursday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM departed Brisbane for official travel to Townsville City Council.

 

Following, at Kilkivan, Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the opening of the Kilkivan Veteran’s and Community Men’s Shed, and Professor Nimmo addressed guests and unveiled a plaque.

 

In the afternoon, at James Cook University, Townsville, Her Excellency attended the investiture ceremony of James Cook University’s Chancellor Professor Ngiare Brown, and the Governor addressed guests.
