On Tuesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Longreach for Bedourie.

Following, at the Diamantina Shire Council Chambers, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from Council representatives.

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited Bedourie State School where His Excellency addressed students at a special assembly.

In the afternoon, at the Bedourie Community Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a community Melbourne Cup Function, and then departed for Birdsville.

Following, at the Birdsville Hotel, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey watched the Melbourne Cup Race with Birdsville community representatives.

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited Birdsville State School where His Excellency addressed students at a special assembly.

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited the Birdsville Bakery before departing Birdsville for Longreach.
