On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC CVO received President, Queensland University Regiment Association, Brigadier Trever Luttrell RFD (Retd); Director, Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum, Mr John Meyers OAM; Manager, Maryborough Military & Colonial Museum, Mr Steve Webb; President, C.M.F. Army Reserve Association Bundaberg, Major Stephen Pohlman RFD (Retd); and Commanding Officer, 12 Army Cadet Unit, HMAS Moreton Captain (AAC) Graham Heslin. 

Following, at St Lucia, His Excellency attended a Private Investiture Ceremony for Mrs Patricia Hawthorne OAM, and the Governor officiated the ceremony.

In the afternoon, at Parliament House, His Excellency attend the closing ceremony of the 26th YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament, and addressed guests and presented an award.
