On Saturday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Townsville for official travel to Charters Towers.

Following, at Charters Towers Regional Council Chambers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a council briefing and morning tea with Councillors.
In the afternoon, at the World Theatre, Charters Towers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a luncheon for the Charters Towers community and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at the Charters Towers War Memorial, Lynd Highway, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo laid a wreath.

Following, at Charters Towers Hospital, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facilities and met with staff.

Following, at Eventide Aged Care Facility, Charters Towers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facilities and met with staff.

In the evening, at the Charters Towers Showgrounds, Her Excellency attended the 2022 Charters Towers Rush Festival.
