In the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Seoul for Daejeon – sister city of Brisbane, and host of the 2017 Asia Pacific Cities Summit.
Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met Superintendent, Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, Mr Dong-Ho Sul, teachers from Queensland, and alumni of The University of Queensland.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met Vice Mayor for Administrative Affairs, Daejeon Metropolitan City, Mr Ryu Soon-hyun, in support of the Brisbane Daejeon Sister City Agreement and the Asia Pacific Cities Summits, and delivered a letter from The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Councillor Graham Quirk, before departing Daejeon to return to Seoul.
In the evening, at the Grand Hyatt, Seoul, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met former Defence Minister, General Kwon Young-Hae, to recognise the General’s attendance at recent 100 years of ANZAC anniversary commemorations in Queensland, where the General awarded special medallions to Korean War veterans based in Queensland at dedicated ceremonies on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.
Following, at the Grand Hyatt, Seoul, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the Queensland Government ‘Friends of Queensland’ Cocktail Reception where the Governor addressed guests.

Earlier, in the morning, at Parliament House, Brisbane, Acting Governor, the Honourable Justice Margaret McMurdo AC, attended the Wattle Day High Tea and addressed guests.
