On Wednesday, in the morning, at the Townsville Stadium, Annandale, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM hosted an Investiture Ceremony for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2024 King’s Birthday Honours List and the March 2024 Bravery Announcement; Warrant Officer Class One John Matthew Lines MG OAM; Warrant Officer Class Two Brenda Joy Smith CSM; Mr Donald Garry Ogden (Commendation for Brave Conduct); Mr Donald Garry Ogden (Group Bravery Citation); Senior Constable Anthony William Poole (Commendation for Brave Conduct); Constable Adam Thomas See (Commendation for Brave Conduct); Mr Steve Rizzini (Group Bravery Citation); Mr Michael Anthony Swan (Group Bravery Citation).

Following, at Government House, members of Senior Citizens St Paul's Lutheran Church Nundah visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at the Townsville Men’s Shed, West End, Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD toured the facility and met with members.

Following, at St Andrew’s Meals on Wheels, Aitkenvale, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility and met with staff.

In the afternoon, at the Townsville Heritage Centre, West End, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility, received a briefing on operations, and met with staff.

Following, at Government House, members of The Clayfield Retirement Village visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at the Perc Tucker Gallery, Townsville City, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the exhibition and met with staff.

Following, at the LifeFlight Townsville Base, Garbutt, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility, received a briefing on operations, and met with staff.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo returned to Government House from Official Travel to Townsville City Council.
