On Tuesday, in the morning, at Parliament House, Brisbane, Honorary Aide-de-Camp Flight Lieutenant Rob Moran, delivered a Message from His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland, to the Legislative Assembly regarding the assent to certain Bills.
Also in the morning, at Government House, the Governor greeted staff and students of Career Employment Australia who were visiting for a morning tea and guided tour of the House and Gardens.
In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in honour of the Chief Justice of Singapore, the Honourable the Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon and Mrs Oliva Menon. Guests included: The Honourable the Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon and Mrs Olivia Menon; The Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes and Dr Arthur Preston; The Honourable Justice Glenn Martin AM; The Honourable Justice Debra Mullins and Mr Patrick Mullins; The Honourable Justice Martin Daubney and Mrs Rosie Daubney; The Honourable Justice David Thomas and Mrs Jane Thomas; The Honourable John Muir QC and Mrs Sandra Muir; Mr Shane Doyle QC; Mr Michael Fitzgerald; Dr Sally Pitkin; and Air Commodore Mark Gower OAM and Mrs Julie Gower.
