On Wednesday, in the morning, at Kedron, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD, toured the State Disaster Coordination Centre, received a briefing the current bushfire operation in Queensland, and met with staff.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency greeted members of Probus Algester visiting for a guided tour of the House and Gardens.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received Commissioner, Queensland Police Service, Commissioner Katarina Carroll APM.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a Pride in Queensland dinner and the Her Excellency addressed guests. Guests included: the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP and Dr Reza Adib; Professor Christopher Perry OAM and Dr Kathryn Perry; Ms Louise Bezzina and Mr John Gaff; Aunty McRose Elu and Mr Kristian Auda; Associate Professor Robyn Littlewood and Mr Robert Kovac; Distinguished Professor Lidia Morawska; the Honourable Jane Prentice and Ms Roanne Lemmon-Warde; Mr Bryan Smith and Mrs Linda Smith; and Mrs Kate Hastings and Mr Bob Hastings APM and Captain Peter Hollyock.
