On Friday, in the morning, in the United Kingdom, at Buckingham Palace, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey met Private Secretary to Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Captain Nick Wright CVO, RN. 

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey had an audience with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia and Head of the Commonwealth, and then toured the State Rooms and viewed the Royal Collection.

In the evening, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed London to return to Australia.

Also in the morning, in Brisbane, the Chief Justice of Queensland, the Honourable Timothy Carmody, ceased duty as Acting Governor, and the Honourable Justice Margaret McMurdo AC commenced duty as Acting Governor.
