Throughout the day from 9am until 4pm Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo greeted members of the public as they signed messages of condolence and laid floral tributes on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

On Saturday, in the morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, received Deputy Consul General of the United States of America Mr Neal Vermillion to sign a Message of Condolence for Her Majesty The Queen.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency was interviewed by networks 7, 9, 10 and ABC on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency received Assistant Minister for Local Government the Honourable Nikki Boyd MP to sign a Message of Condolence for Her Majesty The Queen.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency received Federal Minister for Aged Care, Federal Minister for Sport, Federal Member for Lilley the Honourable Anika Wells MP to lay a wreath and sign a Message of Condolence for Her Majesty The Queen.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency participated in a sit-down interview by Katrina Blowers of Channel 7 as part of the evening news bulletin.
