On Monday, in the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a luncheon to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Commonwealth, and the Governor addressed guests, and read the 2019 Commonwealth Day Message from Her Majesty The Queen.

In the evening, at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Bank, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s performance of Beethoven & Prokofiev, and the season-opening reception.
