On Saturday, in the morning, at Rockhampton Botanic Gardens, West Rockhampton, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a community walk in partnership with Health and Wellbeing Queensland, and the Governor addressed guests. 

Following, at the Allies Memorial, New Farm, Her Excellency was represented by Commander Nick Cusack RAN at the 79^th Anniversary Commemoration Service of the Victory in Europe, and Commander Nick Cusack RAN laid the first wreath.

Following, at the Goat Cafe, Rockhampton City, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a morning tea in support of the Rockhampton Regional Council Australia Day Award Winners. 

Following, at the Rockhampton Museum of Art, Rockhampton City, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility and met with staff.

In the afternoon, at the Boathouse, Rockhampton City, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received Mayor, Rockhampton Regional Council, Councillor Tony Williams and Mayor, Livingstone Shire Council, Councillor Adam Belot for a working lunch.

In the evening, at the Schwarten Arena, Rockhampton Showgrounds, Wandal, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Gala Beef Ball in support of the Beef Australia 2024 Exposition, and the Governor addressed guests.
