On Monday, in the morning, at ANZAC Square, Brisbane, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the RSL Queensland Remembrance Day Ceremony 2024, and the Governor and Professor Nimmo laid the first wreath.  

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo greeted students from Thallon State School visiting for a guided tour of the house and gardens.  

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency hosted a reception in support of the National Youth Science Forum 2025 and the Governor addressed guests.  

In the evening, at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s performance of ‘Scotland Unbound’.
