In the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Assistant Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs, Mr David Kempton MP, Mayor of Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council, Cr. Wayne Butcher, Mayor of Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council, Cr. Bernard Charlie, Mayor of Mapoon Aboriginal Shire Council, Cr. Peter Guivara, Mayor, Wujal Wujal Aboriginal Shire Council, Cr. Cliff Harrigan, Mayor of Napranum Aboriginal Shire Council, Cr. Philemon Mene, Mayor of Aurukun Shire Council, Cr. Dereck Walpo, CEO, Cape Indigenous Mayors Alliance and CEO, Napranum Aboriginal Shire Council, Mr Amos Njaramba and CEO, Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council, Mr David Worsnop.

Following, at Parliament House, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, the Governor departed Brisbane for an Official Visit to Cairns.

In the evening, at the Pullman Reef Hotel, the Governor attended the Cairns Amateurs President’s Welcome Reception.
