Throughout the day from 8 am until 3 pm Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo greeted members of the public as they signed messages of condolence and laid floral tributes on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

On Sunday, in the morning at St. John’s Cathedral, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the St. John’s Cathedral Eucharist Church Service.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo laid a wreath at the Statue of Queen Elizabeth II.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo witnessed the raising of the flags to full mast marking the accession of King Charles III by Proclamation in Canberra.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency presided over a special meeting of the Executive Council.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency read the Proclamation of the accession of King Charles III in Queensland.

In the afternoon, at Parliament House, Her Excellency read the Proclamation of King Charles III for a second time.
