In the morning, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to New Zealand, and the Chief Justice of Queensland, the Honourable Timothy Carmody commenced duty as Acting Governor.

In the evening, at Government House Wellington, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a dinner with Their Excellencies, the Governor-General of New Zealand Lieutenant General The Right Honourable Sir Jerry Mateparae and Lady Janine Mateparae.
