On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to Mt Isa.

In the afternoon, at the Mt Isa City Council office, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing on local issues from Council representatives and met staff.

Following, at Buchanan Park, Mt Isa, His Excellency toured the Mt Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo site, and then later in the evening, with Mrs de Jersey, returned to officially open the 2016 Rodeo and address guests.
