On Saturday, in the morning, at the Memorial Plaza, New Farm, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the 78th Anniversary Commemorative Service of the Victory in the Pacific, and the Governor addressed guests and laid the first wreath.

Following, at the Brisbane Showgrounds, Bowen Hills, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the 2023 Royal Queensland Show Flower and Garden – Education Competitions Awards Presentation, and the Governor addressed guests and presented awards.

In the evening, at the Brisbane Showgrounds, Bowen Hills, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the 2023 Royal Queensland Show, and the Governor officially opened the show and addressed guests.
