On Monday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Cooktown for an official visit to Lockhart River.

Following, at Kunchi Kaarkana (Families Together) Centre, Lockhart River, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met staff and toured facilities.

Following, at Lockhart River State School, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met staff and students and toured classrooms.

In the afternoon, at Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council Office, Lockhart River, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from Council representatives.   

Following, at the Lockhart River Art Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met staff and artists and toured facilities, before returning to Cooktown.
