On Friday, in the morning, at Ayr, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC undertook, via telephone, a media interview with Mornings Presenter, ABC North Queensland, Mr Michael Clarke.

Following, at Burdekin Shire Council Chambers, Ayr, His Excellency received a briefing from Burdekin Shire Council representatives.

Following, at Ayr, His Excellency visited St Francis School, and addressed students and guests and read a book. 

Following, at Burdekin Theatre, Ayr, His Excellency hosted a morning tea in support of the Ayr community, and addressed guests. 

Following, at Plantation Park, Ayr, His Excellency attended Storytime, and read a book and toured the Plantation Nature Play area and Visitor Information Centre.

In the afternoon, at Gudjuda Deck Café, Ayr, His Excellency received, over a working lunch, Mayor, Burdekin Shire Council, Cr Lyn McLaughlin.

Following, at Bowen, His Excellency visited Bowen State School, and addressed students and toured the School.

Following, at Flagstaff Hill, Bowen, His Excellency received a briefing on the Flagstaff Hill Conference and Cultural Centre project.

Following, at North Queensland Cruising Yacht Club, Bowen, His Excellency hosted a reception in support of the Bowen community, and addressed guests.
