On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC welcomed the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland, who presented her proposed appointment as Minister for Fire and Emergency Services and Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships. His Excellency officiated at a formal ceremony for the swearing-in of the Minister of the State and presided at a special meeting of the Executive Council.
