On Friday, in the morning, at Cairns Art Gallery, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM visited the Gallery and toured the exhibitions.
Following, at the Cairns Convention and Exhibition Centre, Her Excellency attended the 2023 Junior Indigenous Youth Parliament Morning Tea, and the Governor addressed guests.
In the afternoon, at Cairns Court House Gallery, Her Excellency hosted an Afternoon Tea in support of International Nurses and Midwives Day 2023, and the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at Cairns Court House Gallery, Her Excellency received Consul of Papua New Guinea, Mr Luke Kalak Kulimbao and Dame Carol Kidu AO
Following, at Cairns Court House Gallery, Her Excellency hosted an Investiture Ceremony for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2023 Australia Day Honours List and the 2022 Queen’s Birthday Honours List;
