Government House Queensland
On Wednesday, in the morning, at the Brisbane International Airport, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC welcomed to Queensland for G20 the Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Mr Ángel Gurría and Dr Gurría.
Later in the morning, at Morningside, the Governor visited the Foodbank Queensland warehouse and facilities.
In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor greeted staff and students from Burnett Heads State School.
Following this, as Representative Colonel, Royal Queensland Regiment, the Governor visited Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera.
In the evening, Mrs Kaye de Jersey, Patron, Girl Guides Queensland, renewed her Guide Promise, and then, with the Governor, hosted a reception for Girl Guides Queensland for the presentation of the 2014 Queen’s Guide and Adult Awards.
