In the morning, Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an Official Visit to Cairns.

Also in the morning, in Cairns, at the Chambers of the Cairns Regional Council (CRC), His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC met the Mayor of Cairns, Cr. Bob Manning OAM, CRC Councillors and staff.

Following, at the Hilton Hotel, the Governor attended the Cairns Amateurs Committee Brunch.

In the afternoon, at Cannon Park Racecourse, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the Cairns Amateurs Ladies Race Day.

In the evening, at Fogarty Park, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the Cairns Amateurs Ball.
