In the morning, at the Australian High Commission, Wellington, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC met the Australian High Commissioner to New Zealand, His Excellency Mr Michael Potts, for a briefing on Australia-New Zealand relations.
Following, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey visited the Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, Wellington, where the Governor laid a wreath in remembrance of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) in the Gallipoli centenary year.
In the afternoon, at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey, welcomed by CEO, Mr Rick Ellis, and hosted by Community Relations Manager, Ms Susan Superville, toured the Museum.
In the evening, at the Australian High Commissioner’s residence, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey, as guests of honour, attended a dinner hosted by the High Commissioner.
