On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Premier of Queensland and Minister for Trade, the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency received Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress, Mr Xu Zezhou, and Member of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress and Vice Chairperson of Financial and Economic Committee, Ms Gong Zuying, accompanied by, Deputy Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane, Ms Zhou Li.

In the afternoon, at the Centenary Memorial Gardens, Sumner, His Excellency was represented by Lieutenant Nicholas Robinson, Honorary Aide-de-Camp, at the Funeral Service for the late Mr Arthur James Robert Jackson.

Following, at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, Herston, His Excellency attended the variant of a ‘Festschrift’ to mark the occasion of the impending retirement of Professor Frank Gannon.

Following, at Santos Place, Brisbane City, His Excellency attended the Christmas celebration for past and present members of Northbank Chambers.

Following, at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Brisbane, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Queensland Ballet opening night performance of 'The Nutcracker'.
