On Monday, in the morning, at St John’s Anglican Cathedral, Brisbane, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the funeral service for Sir John Pidgeon.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Administrator received Mr Sang-soo Yoon, Consul General of the Republic of Korea.

In the evening, at The Queensland Club, Brisbane, the Administrator and Mrs de Jersey attended a dinner to celebrate the 90^th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II hosted by the Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship in Queensland and the Order of Australia Association, Queensland Branch, where His Excellency addressed guests.

Also in the morning, at the Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law, Brisbane, the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes, Acting Governor of Queensland, signed messages recommending appropriation bills be placed before the Legislative Assembly of Queensland.
