On Thursday, in the afternoon, at Parliament House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a reception to officially launch the Queensland Science Network, an initiative of The Royal Society of Queensland, and the Governor addressed guests.
